Access2Funding donates to menopause charity in England and Scotland
Hot off the heels from the launch of its Menopause Policy, Access2Funding has continued its pledge to support women in the workplace by donating £500 to menopause campaign, Pausitivity.
Pausitivity was created by Canterbury-based journalist turned activist and menopause mentor Elizabeth Carr-Ellis after she experienced virtually zero help from her GP when suffering with symptoms of menopause. Sadly, this is a similar story to many women that seek medical help and Elizabeth knew that this had to change.
The campaign works to lobby parliament for better GP resources and support, as well as HRT and to make sure there are #KnowYourMenopause posters in all GPs surgeries, to empower women to start the conversation about how they are feeling. The funds will be used to print more posters ahead of World Menopause Day, as well as support with the upkeep of the website.
The teams at Access2Funding have been involved in a series of webinars with the Scottish media and Elizabeth’s business 50SENSE and will continue to fly the flag for menopausal and perimenopausal women.
Elizabeth said: “We are honoured to have the support of Access2Funding and over the moon to see how much they are supporting menopausal women in the workplace. Pausitivity is the work of three women who all have full-time jobs and family! We donate all our time and skills free to empower the next group of women who go through menopause to know their symptoms ahead of time and save years of worry and frustration.
“This donation will help us truly celebrate World Menopause Day on 18 October.”
To show your support, please, print off a poster from pausitivity.co.uk and share a selfie on social media with the hashtag #KnowYourMenopause.
Every selfie helps break down the wall of silence surrounding menopause.

There’s no rest for the wicket – apologies – as Access2Funding is excited to be official sponsors of Sunderland-based cricket club, Seaham Park, to help fund membership for junior players from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Cash for kids pushed extra hard this year to help children that need it most across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Falkirk this Christmas, after many families have forced into financial crisis and hardships due to lockdown restrictions. We donated £500 worth of toys to the scheme run by Radio Forth 1 in Edinburgh, the toys were delivered by Suzy Carter, the Business Development Regional Manager in Scotland, and her family.
The night before christmas campaign provides a wealth of support for families on low incomes to help with christmas presents for their children and food for christmas dinner. It also provides essential items to the homeless, gloves hats etc as well as foodbank donations.
We donated £1000 to the campaign, and were thrilled to be able to present the cheque in person, in Morrisons Ayr where they are based
As an important part of the charity work we’ve done this year we wanted to give to various food banks around the country - Not only has food bank usage risen in recent years, the number of people foreced out of work due to lockdown restrictions has been staggering. With team members all around the country, we reached out and asked them to highlight local services in need, or that were particularly close to their heart. Find out more about their services, some information about what they do, and some of the amazing feedback we received from our donations.
Dawdon Youth and Community Centre serves the local community by offering high quality, free (or low cost) services and activities that improve people's quality of life. The Centre is open 79+ hours over 7 days, providing a welcoming place for 450+ individuals and groups, local residents of all ages, children and young people to meet each week.
We donated £1000 to the community centre, to help with both their toy appeal, and their food bank, to allow them to continue helping those from the local area in need over the holiday season.
St Davids Cardiff has been running a toy appeal in conjunction with Capital FM South Wales for several years now. In 2020 they made an extra push for people to pick up an extra toy while Christmas shopping, due to the number of families who have struggled to find work, and through various hardships this year.
We wanted to donate ourselves to assist with the amazing work they are doing and tasked one of our elves with delivering £500 worth of toys.
Cash for Kids supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs.
As one team we decided to raise as much money as we could, which the company would match fund, to purchase toys for the Cash For Kids Mission Christmas Toy Appeal. As a team, we raised £500, which the companies raised to £1000.
We worked with Samelco Web Technology to donate them to a local charity, Tom Harrison House, a specialist facility providing an addiction recovery programme exclusively to military veterans, reservists, serving personnel, and their families.
We met with a teacher from St Josephs who we supported through the project to build a better learning and play environment for the foundation stage children. He wanted to create a safe learning environment, in which the children are able to go outside to play and interact with other children and more importantly learn about nature and the environment.
