Cash for Kids - Mission Christmas Toy Appeal
Cash for Kids supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs.
Based across 22 areas in the UK, at the heart of your favourite radio stations, they are a grant-giving charity helping community groups, other charitable organisations, schools and individual causes. They raised over £20.9 million across the UK in 2019, supporting more than a million children!
This year an unprecedented number of families have been forced into financial crisis, and as we approach the holiday season with lockdown restrictions still in effect many families are still feeling the strain. No matter which traditions you follow, the December holiday season is always one of warmth and joy, especially for children. For some families being able to give presents as they usually would, could be an impossibility.
As one team we decided to raise as much money as we could, which the company would match fund, to purchase toys for the Cash For Kids Mission Christmas Toy Appeal. As a team, we raised £550, which the company raised to £1100.
I’m so proud of the Access2Funding team for pulling together and raising a huge amount for this fantastic cause. We are pleased to be part of an initiative that supports families who have faced financial hardship in a very difficult year. Every child deserves to smile on Christmas morning, and we hope we have helped to create 133 of them!

Our donations have already gone out to families in need who have applied for the scheme in our local area, and we are thrilled to be able to help them to have as normal a Christmas as they can, to end a turbulent year on a joyous note.
